This is a vintage silver grey nylon raincoat, made in a trench style, unused, and dating to 1975.  The coat still has its Simpson’s size tag affixed to it and the original owner wrote their name “Turgeon” and “May 1975” on the label, but obviously never used it.  The coat has a lot of the features of a trench coat, but not all - rain guards at the front and back, large military type lapels, matching belt, button down belts at the cuffs, diagonal pockets and an eight button double breasted front closure.

Sizing: The size label reads 13/14, and although this should fit a large size, please rely on the following measurements for fit (please take the style of the coat into consideration):

Shoulders:  16” across from shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves:  24” long

Sleeve inseam: 16 1/4”

Bust: 40” around, taken under the arms

Waist:  34” around, meant to be cinched with belt

Hips:  38” around

Overall length: 44", measured flat

Condition: It is in excellent condition as it has never been used and was well stored over the years.  Nice to be able to pinpoint the year - attractive piece, sure to keep you dry while looking stylish!
